BODYSTEP™: This is not your typical step aerobics class! This is an
energizing step workout that
makes you feel liberated and alive. The class is ideal for people who
love to get their groove on and have a little fun as they work out. Cardiovascular segments push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning segments that shape and tone your body.
BODYSTEP™ Athletic: This is the new interval training inspired variation of
BODYSTEP that is ideal for those looking for more intense, but less
complex, functional step training that unleashes power and athleticism. This class is particularly appealing to males.
Full Body Sculpting: This class incorporates dumbbells,
stability balls, benches and mat work to tone and strengthen your entire body.
There are many balance challenges and exercise options included in this class.
Gentle Yoga: Give yourself an hour (or more) a week to practice mindful breath and movement in a safe and open environment. If you have an injury, are new to yoga, or are looking for a time to slow down and soothe your mind and body; this class will work well for you. The pace is slow and relaxed, the poses set up in a way to create calm, expansion, and ease. No experience is necessary, beginners welcome. Mats, blocks, straps, and blankets are provided.
Kripalu Yoga: This all-levels class offers each student, beginner to advanced, the ability to tailor the class to his/her level and desired intensity. The deliberately slow, meditative pace allows one to focus on proper alignment while building physical strength, stamina, and flexibility. Kripalu Yoga invites the participant to attend to his/her personal experience of each yoga posture, further enabling the student to choose the best way to adapt the posture. Students explore their own balance - in postures, in inversions, and in the yoga practice itself.
Light Aerobics and Sculpt: These fun, non-competitive classes are targeted towards those who are looking for a slower paced format. They all combine the three key components of fitness: cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, and flexibility. Each class can be modified for any fitness level. We provide all the mats and equipment you may need. Work-out with your friends - the socializing is great and also an important component of overall health and well-being!
Pilates Mat: Using a floor mat and small props, this class focuses on basic Pilates principles: core strength, increased flexibility, breath control, and correct alignment to improve posture. Every class is different to insure that the body is challenged in new ways, but simple choreography and clear instruction makes this class accessible to people that have not exercised in years, as well as people who exercise regularly.
TaBOOTa™: This is not your typical Boot Camp class! We incorporate Tabata intervals to improve your aerobic and anaerobic capacity, as well as your muscular strength and endurance. A single Tabata sequence consists of 20 seconds maximum intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated without pause 8 times for a total of four minutes. The result is you work harder and burn more calories than you would in the same amount of time during steady-state training. As a bonus, the fat-burning continues long after the work-out ends! We also include speed and agility drills, dynamic strength and power drills, and core stability exercises.The classes are open to all levels.
Zumba®: This is the Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music and contagious steps to form a "fitness party" that is downright addictive. You do not need to be a dancer to succeed in this class. Relax, lose your inhibitions and dance like no one is watching!
